Short Bio

Bagyo (Storm) was a nickname my mom gave me when I was growing into a teenager. I thought it was because I blew through the house and knocked furniture around like a tropical monsoon. I realize now that I also had a temper. I still have it.

My sole occupation for 8 years now is as mom and wife. And by intervals I dedicate my time to the endeavors of www.newfilipina.com.

Born in 1963, I have lived thirds of my life in the U.S., the Philippines, and back in the States with Ken, my husband of 15 years, and our three sons.

I went to High school in St. Scholastica's of Bacolod City. I spent 2 years (80-82) at the Ateneo de Manila University putzing around in BS Management Engineering and then graduated in 1986 from UP Diliman with a Visual Communication Degree in Fine Arts focusing on Editorial Design. Both Philippine universities have given me a broader perspective on life, my aktibista tendencies and good friends.
