In Life, we must not forget the Source of our spirits. And neither should we forget the source of our bodily existence---we are each borne from a woman who we call Mother, Mom, Mamma, Mommy, Ina, Nanay. In May there is set aside a special day to honor our Mothers. We must not fail to forget our mothers or we will forget where we come from. A mother's love for her children and theirs for her should never be denied or suppressed for to do so is to cripple the soul. Our deepest love for our Mothers and their love for us enriches our lives. It is an undeniable important basic building block of who we become in Life. May is the month we also celebrate as the month of flowers for it is the time that Earth Awakens. The origins of these celebrations are related and we should recall without shame how ancestors all over the world honored the Mother Essence of the Earth.
